This honey is perfect in hot tea or drizzled over a fresh-baked biscuit. Wildflower Honey is also known for helping with allergies, but you’ll have to BEE sure to choose a local Wildflower Honey. Choosing local will increase the chances that the plants your nearby bees are pollinating are the same ones affecting your allergies!
Wildflower honey is a polyfloral honey, which means that bees visit several different kinds of plants in their pursuit of nectar. As such, each honey harvest will have variations in taste and color depending on the blossoms the bees have visited. We harvest our Appalachian Wildflower Honey in the late springtime after the bees have visited daffodils, dandelions, buttercups, tulips, dogwoods, and other local flora and fauna.
