During the Tasmanian summer, bees pollinate the beautiful blooms of the Leatherwood flower and the beekeepers of the Tasmanian Honey Company actually camp in the rainforest wilderness to hunt and harvest the resulting wild honey. The beekeepers are careful to collect only surplus honey to ensure these wild bee colonies will continue to flourish.
