About Sage and How Bees Transform the Nectar to Honey
Our pure Sage Honey hails from California where sage plants abound. Once the bees have collected the sweet nectar from the fragrant black button sage blossoms, they are ready to begin the transformation of nectar to honey. Honey bees mix flower nectar with an enzyme known as invertase and so begins the process of chemically changing the flower nectar into what we know as delicious sticky honey!
