From Lava Flows to Honey Flows

After a lava flow the ‘Ohi’a lehua tree is the first to take root. It’s said that the minerals in the volcanic rock combined with the salty ocean air contribute to the salty mineral taste of Lehua Honey. This honey tends to crystallize fairly quickly due to the high glucose-to-fructose ratio. Some prefer it crystallized as it adds to the salty quality.

Is it cheating to leave two reviews? Sarah kindly let me know this was back in stock so I bought the max allowed jars. They shipped fast enough to arrive Christmas Eve and I feel so fortunate and honey rich now ? Cheese shopping is in my future and I’ll spread the lehua honey love by gifting one or two to friends.

Purchased a large jar of this about a year and a half ago and just ran out! It is so unique and delicious – especially drizzled over cheese and crackers! If you love sweet/salty combos, this is the honey for you! Planning to reorder!!!
