Asheville Bee Charmer officially opened the doors on June 16th with a special honey tasting as part of Pollinator Week. Attendees tasted honey from around the world. Honeys from France offered tastes and looks of Lavender, Provence, Lemon, Acacia and Rosemary. We sampled honey spiked with Jameson Whiskey and Irish Cream, Scrummy Honey with sour cherries and Wild Fire Honey (Hot and REALLY HOT). Also on the menu were varietals of Wildflower, Orange Blossom, Sage, Blueberry, Pineberry, Tupelo, as well as local honey–Sourwood and Wildflower.
If flowers have nectar (pollinator bait), honeybees can turn it into honey! All of these and more are available at our store, so come on by and check ’em out.
