While most recipes for lavender lemonade call for creating your own honey infusion, at Asheville Bee Charmer, we have a secret ingredient that significantly simplifies the process: our own pre-made Lavender-Infused honey! While lavender enthusiasts will likely want to add additional lavender, starting with an already prepped base makes for a truly simple syrup process.
You can make the simple syrup in advance and store in the fridge, or make it on the spot, so long as you allow the syrup to cool before mixing everything up and adding ice.
- 3/4 cup lavender-infused honey
- 4 1/2 cups water
- Additional 2 tablespoons dried lavender buds for extra oomph if desired
- 3-6 sprigs fresh lavender
- 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 6-8 ounces ice-cold vodka (optional)
Combine the honey, water, and extra lavender buds (optional) in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a slight boil and stir until honey is dissolved, which is about five minutes. Set aside and allow to cool.
Combine freshly squeezed lemon juice with the honey-lavender simple syrup water in a large mason jar. Add vodka (if desired) and shake.
Pour into ice-filled glasses. Garnish with lavender sprigs and serve.
